Award Winning Kiosk and Digital Sign Designs

KioskTerminals is proud to have Jerry Schweickart on our team. As a top-tier, much sought-after industrial designer, Jerry offers truly unique and innovative designs that are, at the same time, practical and affordable. As a testament to his skill, Jerry's work for Domino's Pizza, Harley Davidson, Hummer, PepsiCo, Sony, Virgin Records and other top brands has won award after award at KioskCom, the industry's premier event, year after year. Among the many projects that Jerry has directed are a variety of automotive showroom retail fixtures and kiosk designs including the DaimlerChrysler Vehicle Information Center (VIC) kiosk of which 1360 units have been deployed. This design was awarded first place for "Best updated Kiosk Deployment" at KioskCom 2005.

Working closely with General Motor's Hummer division Jerry designed a full line of retail fixtures for their new dealer showrooms including a modular plasma display system, kiosk and other branded merchandising options.

Jerry's responsibilities included working hand in hand with the engineering and marketing departments, managing staff and freelance design resources keeping all projects within set budgets.

Unitec Electronics Corp. in Elkridge, MD is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of automated car wash entry systems. Jerry was asked to design their award-winning Portal Ti self-service terminal. He worked closely with their engineering and marketing staff along with human factors specialists to develop a carwash entry system that is currently their flagship product and was awarded Kiosk Magazine's "Most Innovative Product Award" in 2003.

Jerry also designed a line of retail fixtures for DaimlerChrysler's Mopar Speedshops, which support the retail automotive tuning boutique within DaimlerChrysler’s automobile showrooms and offer auto dealers the opportunity to merchandise additional targeted parts, merchandise and accessories to their customers.

Previously, as design director at 5point, LLC, Jerry developed modular, indoor and outdoor kiosk systems. These were all designed with the ability to satisfy a variety of verticals from retail and hospitality to human resource applications.

While Design Director with Team Linux Corporation, Jerry created two distinct lines of modular kiosk systems, one of which was the S2000 Chameleon kiosk, which features a full length, changeable acrylic fascia that can be back printed in full color to reinforce a variety of branding needs. This design was awarded one of Kiosk Magazine's Most Innovative Product Awards in 2001.
